Summary: Just months before the Immortal Alliance Conference, Luo Binghe discovers the cure to Without-a-Cure. With his own heritage still sealed and mostly unknown to him, there seems to be only one solution: Shen Qingqiu must receive the cure from the last known Heavenly Demon, Tianlang-Jun, even if it means that Luo Binghe has to grit his teeth and set his precious Shizun up with another man. Shen Qingqiu does not want to receive the cure from Tianlang-Jun. He doesn't particularly want to receive anything from Tianlang-Jun. Summary: If Shizun was hoping to hide his mysterious visitor from his peak, his edict for everyone to leave and not remark on her made it impossible for her to go unremarked on. Ming Fan was currently scurrying around, punishing anyone who suggested anything untoward was possibly happening. This mostly meant people waited to gossip until he was gone. The leading theory was that the woman was from one of the brothels Shizun was rumored to have frequented in the past. Luo Binghe had never seen any evidence that this rumor was true (he was actually concerned that Shizun didn’t know what sex was), so he’d dismissed the claims as slander. Then a woman had prostrated herself at the bottom of the stairs of Cang Qiong and begged that a message be delivered to all on the mountain. It was urgent, she said. She could not say more at this time, but lives depended on the right person hearing these words. “What is the message?” a disciple had asked. The woman raised her head. “Beyonce,” she had said clearly. “Internet. When the email had hit his inbox this morning, Shen Qingqiu had read it and reread enough to have it memorized, as he tried to comprehend the meaning of these words arranged in this order. The second that comprehension dawned upon him, he’d deleted the email then promptly tried to forget everything about it. He wasn’t being very successful on that front. The message, written with the extraordinary eloquence that Shen Qingqiu knew Luo Binghe was capable of, had been sent en masse to the entire faculty and student body. It stated two main points. Firstly, that Luo Binghe attested that Shen Qingqiu had never slept with, assaulted, molested, groomed, or was in any way inappropriate to him during his time at Cang Qiong Academy (thanks for the endorsement, Binghe!!). Summary: Good stories end. In fact, good stories quickly become bad stories when they don’t know when to quit; it’s half the reason why Proud Immortal Demon Way had become so insufferable by the end. Well, Shen Qingqiu knows when his story is over. Mai Gu Ridge is a distant memory and he and Luo Binghe are married. There’s nothing more to say. In fact, he wouldn’t dare having character development this late in the story—if Proud Immortal Demon Way had had an epilogue, then Shen Qingqiu is firmly in the epilogue now. Everything’s been resolved.
