“For too long our people have lived, figuratively if not literally, in the shadows of these constructs,” Green-Blag said at a campaign speech in Bright Bird City. “We allow dangerous myths to keep us away from our history, instead of embracing one of the greatest pieces of the Ancients’ legacy. Our district may not boast the most biodiversity or historic schools or newly-efficient synthesizers like others, but we should take pride in what we have here, and take steps to share this beauty with the world.”
Moon, for her part, has attempted to downplay the issue. “Payokona Mountain is the home of people of all faiths and none. Our diversity is what makes our district thrive,” she said, when asked for comment in a recent press conference. “The Pyramids’ status as an uninhabited preserve is due not to any sect’s beliefs, but rather to provide a refuge for glo-kits and other native species of the area. As well, the extreme temperatures make it impractical to cool or make accessible. Green-Blag accuses me of being in the grip of history; I ask him, what experience does he have in advocating for the issues our people care about? None.”
