So in last week's Databurst, shusu (who I might be sortakinda secretly stalking) wrote the following about trinityofone's Misery to Man:
"This is a triumph of sprogfic, and a totally incredible story, missing being the Pick of the Week by that much. Why so awesome? Because there is no conceivable way to give it a happy ending. NONE. All of fandom is trying to disprove that theorem, but as of right now, it's the Millennium Prize of SGA fanon."
Now, me being me, and determined that there ain't no pairing high enough (except for McBeck, which makes me want to puke), ain't no sadness low enough, ain't no cliche wide enough to keep me from at least giving it a go, babe, have decided to prove her wrong.
A happy ending for Misery?

from skaredykat's rec on fancake:

The premise: In trinityofone's Misery to Man, Rodney's about to accidentally die on an alien planet when the aliens kindly offer John the option of mpreg-reincarnating him. John says yes, wee!Rodney has no memories that his father used to be his lover.
In the fic I'm reccing here, La Dulce Espera, a sequel to Misery to Man, John has a hard time dealing with this; Teyla steps in. Interesting but somewhat sad, until the end.
